Metzalli Designs 10/07 - present :: Owner & Designer

I design and manufacture handbags that I sell through art galleries, boutiques, and online. I created and maintain the website for my online store and portfolio. I also take on freelance graphic and web design projects (please click on my art & design and web tabs to see my portfolio.)

Gymboree Corporation 08/05 - 10/07 ::Assistant Textile/Graphic Designer – Newborn Lines

Created the graphics and textiles for over 20 lines, and assisted in the creation of over 60 more. Along with a team of 3 others, helped select themes and colors for the various seasons. Also responsible for creating the factory instruction packages for over 40 lines.

Kids Wear This (Pixel Organics) 04/05 - 08/05 :: Design Assistant Internship

Helped to draw up (illustrator) drawings of garments. Created patterns for garments using factory specifications. Visited factories to deliver patterns and fabrics.

Lawrence Berkeley National Lab 08/00-12/03 :: Sequencing Specialist – Research & Development

Resposible for testing the reagents (chemicals) that were to be used in the Production part of the facility which was responsible for sequencing the Human Genome Project among other genomes. Also in charge of analyzing DNA for the senior researchers who were conducting various experiments with plant, animal, and fossil DNA.
